Three small-group retreats across mountain, island, and countryside — built for travelers who'd rather earn the view than book it.

"We don't build itineraries with empty afternoons. Each retreat is shaped around one terrain, one philosophy, and a small group who showed up to actually be there."

The Retreats

Three terrains, three practices.

New Hampshire, USA NH · AQ

Mountain & Lake Immersion Retreat

Base camp — Aqua Inn & Spa

Granite peaks & glacial lake

Sunrise hikes into the Granite Mountains, cold-water swims, and slow evenings by the water. A retreat built around elevation, stillness, and the kind of quiet that only comes from being somewhere remote.

Island Retreat

Base camp — The Coconut

Barrier island & gulf flats

No bridges, no cars, no plan you can't change. Boat-in access to a string of Gulf islands, with days built around water, shoreline, and the kind of laid-back pace a barrier island enforces on its own.

Gastronomic Retreat

Base camp — The Stone Barn

Limestone hills & vineyard

Long lunches, market mornings, and a kitchen at the center of everything. A countryside retreat for people who travel to eat well and leave with a few recipes that actually get cooked again.

Philosophy

Adventure, kept honest.

Adventure Lifestyle LLC runs three retreats, not three hundred. Each one is tied to a specific place we know well — a mountain range, a barrier island, a stretch of French countryside — and built to be experienced in small groups rather than toured through in large ones.

That means fewer departures, more attention, and itineraries that leave room for the day to actually unfold.

  • Small groups — never more than 6 guests per departure.
  • Chef-led meals — sourced from where you're standing.
  • Guided, not scripted — local experts, flexible days.
  • Boutique basecamps — Aqua Inn & Spa, The Coconut, and The Stone Barn.

3-Day Mountain & Lake Adventure — Sunapee, NH

Jenn and Rudy absolutely did not disappoint. They are fascinating and wonderful, with many incredible stories and experiences to share and they curated an awesome itinerary of outdoor activities. The inn itself is also very welcoming and relaxing, with great indoor and outdoor spaces.

I enjoyed my time with Rudy and Jennifer. They were very kind and accommodating. The food was amazing and the views of the mountains were beautiful. It was a great trip to take my mind off work and get some R&R.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this retreat. The hosts were gracious and attentive. The yoga sessions were peaceful and grounding, and the massage and meditation experiences left me feeling completely renewed. Our hikes with Rudi were a highlight — he is a knowledgeable and engaging guide. The food, prepared by Jen, was nothing short of amazing — fresh, flavorful, and nourishing. We are eager to return.

This is an excellent retreat with thoughtful hosts. They provide a variety of activities and excellent food. I liked the combination — yoga, kayaking, hiking, and visiting a lavender field. We both got to reset. We were celebrating our 65th birthdays and it was a retreat to remember.

Each day, we were served three healthy gourmet meals — oh my gosh, so delicious! We enjoyed kayaking, hiking around Mt. Sunapee State Park, yoga, and massages. I especially appreciated the opportunity to learn from a professional physical therapist. I returned home more focused and feeling energetic about personal growth. We can't thank you enough, Jenny and Rudi.

Island Retreat — Cayo Costa, SW Florida
★★★★★

We were greeted by Jen and Rhudi at the boat ramp and taken to the island by boat. We then mounted quads for a fun ride on sandy trails weaving through brush and palmetto trees — it opened up onto a gorgeous unspoiled white sandy beach that seemed to stretch for miles. At last we arrived at The Coconut House, an unusual octagonal design on stilts with a large deck overlooking serenely peaceful natural surroundings. Watching the sunset from the deck was magical. This is the perfect romantic spot for two, or a lovely quiet place for a writer or a painter. Paradise!

My trip to Cayo Costa was a truly unique experience. My mom and I took a 25-minute boat ride passing small islands and lots of birds — we even saw dolphins! The island is peaceful and quiet with no noise from cars. We enjoyed walking the beach, collecting shells and sand dollars, and fishing for sea trout that was cooked for dinner that night. The evenings are very quiet and the stars are amazing since there are hardly any lights on the island. One day we took a boat to Boca Grande for a great lunch on the water — one highlight was visiting the stunning Gasparilla Inn. My mom and I had a fantastic time!

Our retreat to Cayo Costa was nothing short of magical. From the moment we boarded the boat, we were surrounded by the beauty of Florida's natural coastline, spotting wildlife and winding through peaceful mangrove forests. Cayo Costa is truly a hidden gem — pristine white-sand beaches, crystal-clear water, and some of the best shelling we've ever experienced. My sister and I found the accommodations comfortable and peaceful, and we loved exploring nearby islands including Cabbage Key and Upper Captiva. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already looking forward to returning.

After the retreat, I was very relaxed, returning home refreshed and renewed. The food was exceptional! I came just wanting a fun weekend away with my sister and got so much more.

Jen and Rudi created an unforgettable retreat experience. Three yoga classes: one at a heavenly lavender farm, one on a dock on peaceful Lake Sunapee, and one at the top of Mt. Sunapee. All glorious! Rudi patiently guided us on a hike to one of the most stunning views I've ever seen. Jen is a phenomenal French chef — every meal was delicious. Everything was perfect; we're looking forward to returning next summer and bringing friends.
